ABOUT PETER WILLEMS
Peter is a bassist, and also a Vocalist, from The Netherlands. He graduated cum laude at the Conservatory of Maastricht with a shared bachelor of Voice and Double bass in 2023; he studied alongside John Goldsby, John Clayton & John Patitucci.

In his short career he performed on many festivals including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Music Meeting, Jazz in Duketown, So What’s Next & InJazz. In 2019 he won the 2nd prize of the prestigious ‘Princess Christina Jazz Concours’, and in 2022 and 2023 he won the 1st prize of the ‘Conservatory Talent Award’ and the ‘Maastricht Jazz Awards’. In 2022 he released his debut album: ‘DOUBLE DARE’ (Zennez Records), together with the grammy nominated New York based guitar player Gary Lucas, known for his collaboration with Jeff Buckley and Captain Beefheart.
